In a recent survey, the University of St. Andrews has been ranked 47th among universities around the world in terms of scientific research and accomplishments. The survey, published by the University of Leiden in the Netherlands, based its rankings on the publication of scientific research and the number of citations the research receives. St. Andrews has always been an outstanding location for science students.
